My experience was an amazing balance of learning about Haventree Bank's Risk management while expanding my technical skills and collaborating with a supportive team. I had the opportunity to tackle complex, interdisciplinary problems like natural disasters to early default detection. |

I collaborated with various departments on instituting analytics to optimize portfolio monitoring; the first application that identifies properties impacted by natural disasters. |

Before this summer, I had no previous experience with the data sources used for natural disaster reporting. After researching the data sources and collaborating with representatives from Natural Resources Canada and colleagues at Haventree Bank, I was able to successfully implement automation that help identify at-risk properties. |

I developed a system to filter Haventree Bank's portfolio and provide dynamic insights across areas. |

Collaboration. In my opinion, collaboration is the largest driver of progress and I’m inspired by making an impact together with others. |
| How did this position fit into your long-term career goals? |
My long-term goals are aligned with my experience this summer, developing software to deliver data-driven solutions. |
